Set up your own Bowls Thing  Set up a team Bowls Thing

It's simple - your Club can hold a Bowls Thing fundraising day whenever it's convenient and Cancer Council will provide prizes for the winners. You can raise funds in lots of ways - a match entry fee, a raffle, a BBQ, sponsored teams - even a fine system during the match!

Once you've permission from your Club, set up your Bowls Thing by clicking the button above. Our events team review your event to check it meets our fundraising guidelines and supports the aims of Cancer Council. There's unlikely to be a problem. We then send you a letter authorising you to raise funds on behalf of Cancer Council and a Bowls Thing kit to help you make the most of your event.

After that, you can set up an online fundraising page especially for your Bowls Thing. As well as collecting donations supporting the event, this page can monitor attendees, and provide running totals for you and your supporters. Click here to see a demo.

Once your Bowls Thing is over, we'll send you a letter of thanks with the amount raised, plus a certificate for you to keep and share with your event attendees, team of helpers & donors.

Cancer Council
GOOD ON YA, GULARGAMBONE!

Gulargambone in central-west NSW may be small, but it has great community spirit. So when Bruce decided to hold a Bowls Thing to raise funds for Cancer Council, the whole town got right behind it. Ads in the community newspaper, plus flyers distributed around town, ensured there was a good roll-up for the Triples comp. Fundraising came from entry fees, plus meat trays, and all the food was also generously donated. Over $1,000 raised. Good on ya, Gulargambone!
