Getting organised

On the left are seven ways we can help you get organised to Do Your Thing. You may not need all this assistance, but naturally we want your Thing to be as successful as possible. Here’s what’s in each section:

  1. Your event page shows you how to create a personal fundraising page which will help you manage your Thing, invite attendees and accept donations online.
  2. Planning your event is an 11-point, step-by-step checklist to help keep your Thing on track.
  3. Hints & tips is some practical advice from experienced Do Your Thing fundraisers.
  4. Boosting your funds has over a dozen suggestions for ways to increase donations.
  5. Publicity gives you guidance on dealing with local media and keeping them interested in your Thing.
  6. FAQ has answers to literally dozens of questions about how Do Your Thing works.
  7. Contact If you can’t find what you need in the other sections, speak to your regional Cancer Council office for one-to-one advice.
