3 easy steps
- Get approval from your Golf Club to run your Golf Thing and agree to a date and time.
- Register your event online here and create your own personal or team fundraising pages.
- Encourage everyone to get involved and pledge money on your event page.
How it works
It’s really simple and easy to hold a Golf Thing; you can raise funds in lots of ways- entry fee, raffle, BBQ or luncheon and even donate the fee charged per point over or under par.
Once you’ve received permission from your club, set up your Golf Thing by clicking the above button. Our events team review your event to check it meets our fundraising guidelines and supports the aims of Cancer Council. There’s unlikely to be a problem. We then send you a letter authorising you to raise funds on behalf of the Cancer Council and a Golf Thing kit to help you make the most of your event.
After that, you can set up an online fundraising page especially for your Golf Thing. As well as collecting donations supporting the event, this page can monitor attendees and provide running totals for you and your supporters. Click here to see a demo.
Once your Golf Thing is over, we’ll send you a letter of thanks with the amount raised, plus a certificate for you to keep and share with your even attendees, team of helpers & donors.
DEL RIO GOLF DAY
Since 2007 the Del Rio Golf Day has raised over $43,451.00 for Cancer Council NSW. For the last 5 years, they have not only contributed to raising much needed funds, but have managed to create awareness in their community. The success of the Del Rio Golf Day over the last 5 years, is not only because of friends & family getting together to play a bit of Golf, but fundraising together to make a difference in the fight against cancer, by playing the sport they love! Thank you and great work to all involved in Del Rio Golf Day!
